Insects United

One of the reasons - way back in the 60s and 70s - I hated helping my mom with gardening (weeding!) were all the 'disgusting' insects.

Of course I preferred playing games instead...

Fast forward 55 years or so and it turns out I've become fascinated with those creepy crawlies and their surroundings!

Without further ado here are a bunch of bugs, beetles, spiders and other assorted arthropods I encountered in Loosdrecht and Arnhem.

This last photo I took rather quickly, only afterwards noticing to my big surprise that there were a whole bunch of tiny 'slorks' (*) crawling behind the main dude....

(*) In my family we describe anything gross looking as a 'slork'!
