The Prisoner of Samut Prakhan
On 05-02-2021 my quarantine incarceration began, only the shackles were missing...

The room itself isn't bad, plenty of comfort in fact, but the overall impression was just bland, very very boring, which might lead to all kinds of side effects.

After being released (hopefully!) on the 20th I can easily imagine myself becoming a depraved serial killer or just another kind of artist...

However for now I'm still doing fine, always look at the bright side of life, etc.!

The menu has a bit of variety and meals have to be ordered in through the Line app (*) as follows:

This way I can actually see who my fellow prisoners are and if inclined communicate with them, but so far I haven't bothered. Annie though looks more interesting, but staff aren't allowed anywhere near quarantine 'guests'...
Anyway, communication wise things have improved a lot since Anthony Hope wrote The Prisoner of Zenda in 1894 (**).

Food is delivered in front of your door.

The way to the bathroom and balcony...

My wonderful view...

My schedule for the next 14 days + an additional menu ... It's also possible to order from 7-11!

Right view of the street in front of the hotel...

Same same on the left side...

My dinner on the first day, quite tasty!

Twice a day I must take my temperature, take a photo of it and send via Line to the nurse/doctor.
Their way of replying is rather different from Dutch medical staff, but I like it much better!

Taking a break (?) on my balcony, enjoying the outside air...

Perhaps enjoying isn't entirely correct...

Of course I had to draw something...
(*) Line is another communication app which is very popular in S.E. Asia due to its stickers!
