Wat Paknam & Wat Khun Chan
No matter where I go, I try to keep my eyes open for anything that somehow stands out.

Whether it's an unusual temple mural, inscription, animal, vehicle or person is irrelevant.

In general I'm not really interested in massive Buddha statues, but there can be exceptions, especially when looking at their 'surroundings'.

On the way to Wat Paknam Phasi Charoen's new giant Buddha statue we crossed a small bridge and spotted this old boat.

Afterwards we spotted the huge Buddha sticking its head out...

Still under construction.

It certainly is massive...

Although not everybody was impressed.

A bit further out we couldn't help noticing another huge one at nearby Wat Khun Chan...

Along the way we saw this neat building, probably used as a library.

Weathered wood...

Sometimes you really need to make a panorama photo...

This reclining Buddha statue looks very, very odd...

This three headed elephant statue has 3 heads, 4 hind legs, 6 front legs and more...

Another rather elongated Buddha statue...

A transgender Buddha perhaps?

A more classic demon!

A multi headed Buddha...

Very colourful indeed...

Quite a menagerie!

To give you a better perspective.

Pay respect by donating money, but I'm not sure about the meaning of the cute monkey dolls...

And an artist's impression to finish it off.
