Ancient Tree
Recently, we (David, Ross, and yours truly) visited Khao Yai National Park again, having not been there in years.
After looking in vain for other possible entry points to sneak inside, we drove to the main entrance, coughed up the 400 thb pp entrance fees, and went into the park.
We started visiting some waterfalls and spotting wildlife (hornbills, monkeys, deer, etc.) until Ross mentioned a giant tree he once encountered on a hard-to-walk trail...
The number of arrows made it relatively easy to find, but it's a fact that not often-used trails can get quickly overgrown.
After stumbling up and down the trail for about half an hour we found Ross' tree.
As you can see it's rather hard to miss!
Massive roots slithered like anacondas across the ground in various directions.
It certainly was the biggest tree we'd ever seen here in the park!

This Biang Tree is supposedly centuries old!
