Creative Street Art

Earlier this month, there was a street art festival in Bangkok, of which I only managed to check out the last 2 days.
Still better than nothing, I guess!

As you can see, this wasn't your average graffiti job, done quickly in some dark alley.
Some of the works were very large, and either scissor or boom lifts had to be used in order for the artists to do their job!

The poster of the event, to be honest, was not particularly creative or impressive imo.

I really like this piece by Toussaint, it's called 'ยิ้ม', which means 'Smile'.

Toussaint's other piece: 'ผู้ให้' ('The Giver')

This one reminded me a bit of Matisse.
As you can see, it was difficult to take good photos due to the location...

Another nice one, on Charoen Krung Road.

Playful elephant...

The next few photos were all taken in Sathorn Soi 1.

Several artists collaboration!

A bit creepy, those 2 on the left!

On Rama IV Road, very colorful, and although not visible here, the top part of the 'helmet' was actually painted on a different wall!
There's a narrow alley between that wall and the house behind it...

Near Talad Noi; not bad either, I like the colorful patterns.

Of course, there had to be something with food!
Actually, there used to be another foodie mural on that wall...

Alex Face's 3-eyed kid has become 2-eyed...
At a few places, I did see all kinds of equipment but never any of the artists themselves, which was a bit of a pity.

However, I had a nice surprise a few days later.
While walking in Chinatown, I suddenly noticed, out of the corner of my eye, some artistic activity.

Great to see some old-fashioned wall painting being done!
