From Hell Fire to Giant Trees
This really is a grab bag of Kanchanaburi pictures.
Starting with this very impressive museum.
I have visited it several times, but it still hits hard...
Cruising along the River Kwae.
Turning around with those engines is quite a sight!
This is a Mon temple.
Welcome to the classroom!
Early morning monk doing his sweeping duties.
The main path of the village.
Mon dance performance: loud, dissonant, uneven, but also charming and fascinating as well.
Hard to take good pics with just a mobile...
The Death Railway train...
Third-class wooden benches.
Say Cheese...
A train ride with a view...
Probably the biggest tree in Kanchanaburi.
Only a panorama shot can do it justice!

Grab bag maybe, but a nice grab bag. Thanks for posting, brings back memories of my early tour leaders days, '93-'94, when I often visited Kanchanaburi, rode that train, long-tailed along the Khwae, saw that Mon song-and-dance (near those 'Jungle Rafts'?). The museum is of later date though.
You have created a strange, but interesting, collection of images, here, KK. I have not seen that tree before, but have seen others like it.
