She Drifted From Bed To Bed...
One of my (admittedly many) interests is old cover art, whether from pulp magazines from the 19202 - 1960s or weird paperbacks, whatever strikes my fancy.
Several websites offer a wealth of this kind of cover art, ranging from the shockingly bad to cool work!
When I saw 'The Drifter' passing by, I knew I could use it somehow for my Art For Art's Sake series!

What appealed to me about this cheap, thrashy-looking 1962 paperback?
Certainly not the artwork, although professionally done, it just looked drab to me.
About the story itself, I had no idea and couldn't care less either, it probably was incredibly lame anyway.
But the text blurbs on the cover pushed all the right buttons: sensational, crude, vulgar, etc.
Perfect for my purpose to mash it up with some 'proper' art!
All that needed to be done was to remove the woman and move the publisher thingie to another place...
Accidentally, I already had a suitable piece of art ready; it looked a bit erotic and even had the same shade of orange!

Salvador Dali is either turning around in his grave or having a smile on his face, who knows?!
